Delegation from the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania visits the Federal Constitutional Court

A delegation from the Lithuanian Constitutional Court, headed by its President Danutė Jočienė, visited the Federal Constitutional Court on 1 and 2 December 2021. The five members of the delegation were received by President Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth, LL.M. (Yale), Vice-President Prof. Dr. Doris König and other members of the Federal Constitutional Court. The topics discussed in the working sessions included restrictions to fundamental rights during the COVID-19 pandemic and the relationship between national constitutions and the European Convention on Human Rights / EU law. Furthermore, the two Courts exchanged information on their experience with the mechanism of the constitutional complaint.
